We received word from U.S. Aerobatic Foundation President Steve Cunningham that Foundation Chairman Randy Reinhardt was in a serious auto accident on earlier this week and will be hospitalized for several weeks. As of yesterday, Randy had settled into a rehab center and has begun several forms of therapy that keep him busy and out of trouble all day. By the time he eats his dinner and visits are over at 8:00 p.m. he is ready to retire. His therapists have him standing and walking with assistance. In addition, he meets with a speech therapist to exercise his facial muscles. He has only asked for assistance in escaping a couple of times. :-) He faces surgery in the next week or two on the arteries in his neck. I will keep you posted as we hear more.
