I have a Skybolt built a few years ago. I'm having problems with radio static to the point I can't hear many transmissions at all. The radio works just fine when the engine is not running. It works fairly well when throttled back, so is usable when approaching the pattern. When at or near full power it is mostly unintelligible. We have added noise limiting capacitors on both mags and the alternator without any improvement. The radio is a Microair 760 and I have a Dave Clark intercom. With the static I am unable to get instruction during practice for the sportsman sequence. I would appreciate any and all suggestions. Thanks to all in advance!
