Word has it that all the Unlimited pilots who are serious about trying out for the U.S. team were given a list of all the current National Judges and were to pick from it their choices for judges at Fondulac and the Nationals. It sounds like a step in the right direction, but bass ackwards to me. Wouldn't it have been more meaningful if the pilots chose from a list of judges who were able to attend (one or) both contests in the first place? Ron Saglimbene ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I understand that they get to select the judges because they get to PAY for the judges ... is this true? I also understand if you want to make the U.S. team you need to fly at both Fondulac AND Nationals ... thats alot of money and vacation time ... is this true? Jon Nash Pitts N1191 IAC Chapter 36
