The engine vent pipe will probably only freeze where it is in the slip stream. The tail discharge of most slobber pot vent pipes is not only in the slip stream but is at the end of the heat profile as well. I suggest putting a piece of foam plumbing pipe insulation over the exposed vent tubing at the tail might prevent freezing. I haven't tried it as we don't have those conditions below 25,000 feet here in Fla. Charlie Harrison
