  ********************************************** IAC NEWS
*****************

2000 U.S. AEROBATIC TEAM MEMBERS
Both Kirby Chambliss and Michael Goulian have elected to take advantage
of new IAC rule which places them on the 2000 U.S. Team. The rule was
adopted at the 1998 Fall Board of Directors meeting. The rule specifies
that any of the three highest placing team pilots from the top one-third
of the most recent World Aerobatic Championships may automatically be
selected as team members on the next U.S. Team if they indicate by
January 1 that they wish to accept these positions and agree to fly in
the European Championships during the team selection year.

Since Kirby and Michael will be flying in Europe next summer, they do
not have to qualify at the IAC contests.

IAC WINTER CONVENTION UPDATE
Members attending the exciting Winter Convention will receive a bonus -
All convention registrants will recieve a ticket to the IAC Banquet
along with their $40 convention registration. The banquet program will
include a mulimedia presentation on the 1998 World Aerobatic
Championships by Bob Minkus.

Jean Sorg has been selected as the Winter Convention Volunteer
Coordinator. Jean needs volunteers to assist her in staffing the IAC
booth at the Air Sports Expo which is in conjunction with the IAC Winter
Convention. Our booth will be open beginning on Thursday, February 25,
through Saturday, February 27. If you can help passing out IAC
information and selling IAC memberships, PLEASE contact Jean at
217-544-3623 or e-mail Airgold at aol.com. Have fun and meet some aviation
enthusiasts in Knoxville!

SUN 'N FUN NEWS

Saturday or packing up on Sunday would be great also. Please contact
Barbara at 407-841-6230 or e-mail her at skygods at ix.netcom.com.

Our IAC Member Reception will be sponsored by Aero Sport of St.
Augustine, Florida. The reception will be Sunday evening, April 11, at
the Sun 'n Fun Aerobatic Center on the flightline immediately following
the airshow. We're looking forward to a terrific evening of food,
refreshment and fellowship. So mark your calendar now for the IAC Member
