I've seen several Pitts S-1S with plywood leading edges on the wings.

Is this an S-1T wing?

What is normally used (if anything) for the leading edge wrap on the S-1S?

Does this plywood leading edge have higher strength?

Is it heavier or lighter than the standard wing?

Thanks!
Paul Klusman
