  Spin prevention is the key.  Page 31 of Gene Beggs wonderful book "Spins in 
the Pitts Special" says it all. (Availabel from Gene or from EAA).  If the 
aircraft is failing to perform a maneuver as the pilot had intended it to 
occur the good book says reduce power, neutralize controls, and visually 
check that your hands and feet got the message from your brain.  

The "Good Book" (no not Gene's -  the other good book - )  says, " PRIDE 
GOETH BEFORE A FALL".  If it isn't working, admit that fact ASAP and recover 
for a new effort..
