Upon inspecting my YAK 55, I noticed a “possible” crack in the right
aileron belt-crank aluminum support casting at the junction where the base
connects to the extended bearing support. It could have been simply a
surface defect or imperfection in the casting pattern. It will be easy to
inspect by removing the quick-release access door and using a penlight and
dental mirror to view. --Phil
