If you're considering coming to Orange this weekend: The weather has so far been much better than forecast: windy but no ceiling or precip problems. The way AOPA & The Weather Channel are showing things now, we may have a little rain early Fri & Sat mornings, but should get nearly full days of flying in on both days. The forecast seems to keep getting better and better. We often have to wait a bit for the morning fog to lift anyway, so the actual impact is likely to be minimal. Most of the nasty stuff should (knock on wood) pass through at night. Sunday is looking good both for contest flying and for getting home, unless you're coming from Canada or Florida. By saying all this I've probably ticked off the weather gods and now we'll have rain. But frankly, it's looking a whole lot better than it did earlier this week. So far we've got a great turnout, and it's looking like it could be quite the contest. If you still need more enticing, we've got a great raffle set up with 20 prizes, including a grand prize of a ride in an SU-29 :-) Detailed contest info is at <http://acro.harvard.edu/IAC35/2002XContestXannouncement.htm.> Steve
