1981 Pitts S1-E (amateur-built S1-S):

This is your last chance on this airplane. If you have any interest at all, DON'T take your time. If I don't have anyone engaged in serious discussion by this time next week, I will forego the other deal I've been working on and take mine off the market and you will have missed a great opportunity.
Here are the specs:
886 hours TTAF airframe, 432 SMOH by DeMars on a 200 HP Lycoming IO-360-A1A angle valve engine. B&C light weight alternator, Christen inverted oil system, Sensenich 76 x 60 fixed-pitch aluminum prop, Terra transponder with blind encoder (needs a biennial certification), Lexan floor, Haigh tail wheel, large rudder, rudder pedal access doors, reinforced cabane struts and upper wing attach plates, lower rear wing attach brackets reinforced per FAA AD and Aviat Service Bulletin, horizontal stabilizer struts (as on the S1-T model) in addition to the standard bracing wires, bungee gear with aluminum strut covers, five point harness with ratchet and secondary lap belt.
The engine overhaul included:
- Factory new aerobatic crankshaft ($9,000 retail all by itself!)
- Rework camshaft
- Rebuild all four cylinders
- Replace piston rods
- New bearings
- New slick magnetos
- All AD's and SB's to that date complied with (including new oil pump, the strengthened piston pins and rod bolts, new crankshaft gear)
- Engine break-in and bench-test performed by DeMars in accordance with Lycoming overhaul manual
Last annual inspection November 2001.
The plane is located in southern California at Chino Airport (CNO).
