  I was doing tech inspections recently at a contest, and
one recurring small snag I kept noticing was slack
tailwheel springs.

Tailwheel springs tend to relax over time, and
like shock absorbers on your car, the deterioration
of performance is so gradual that you often don't
notice it.

Taking a link out of each side is cheap and easy,
really improves the pedal response, and I think may
even reduce brake pad wear during s-turns.

As for that other topic ... I keep thinking it must
be April 1st.
