Dear Acro RPM in Verticals a.. I have followed the correspondence and surely the connection is that, with aerobatic propellers, it is normally oil pressure for fine pitch. Therefore when oil pressure begins to fall it is insufficient to maintain fine pitch: the blades go coarse, and obviously rpm falls. a.. This of course will be aggravated by low oil pressure in the beginning: low oil level: worn governor and worn bearings!
