  Seen on the Luscombe list:

With all our discussions, the latest tidbit from the AOPA mag was
interesting:

FAA Checkride Requirements Changed

For commercial pilot applicants, steep spirals and power-off 180-degree
accuracy landings are now required. In addition, more precise maneuvering
standards are now required for slow flight, power-off stalls, and (in the
case of private pilot applicants) turns to a heading.

We'll see how this works compared to past spin requirement statistics-
thoughts?
