Navy - Viet Nam - 1965-71 <<Just curious - how many veterans do we have on this list? How many War veterans?>> Just an an aside, a "Veteran" is one who served in the military during wartime (WWII, Korea, VietNam, Gulf, etc), i.e. a veteran of war. Military persons who served during peacetime (whatever that means these days) are NOT considered veterans, simply ex-military. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Planedancer at aol.com> To: <skybird at optushome.com.au>; <virginia at odysseypub.com>; <acro at gf24.de> Sent: Tuesday, October 29, 2002 11:52 PM Subject: [Acro] RE: Fw: Important News from IAC Headquarters > > I was merely trying to point out that sometimes we need to sacrifice some of our freedoms in order to ensure them for the future. Our parents, if you are my age any way, had to sacrifice many personal freedoms during WWII in order to ensure the freedoms we enjoy today. Our nation was formed by those who chose to pursue individual freedoms and rights and the people of this nation have fought and died for those very rights through out the years. > > Just curious - how many veterans do we have on this list?
