Have found that the stuff foam pool floats are made of works good in  
increasing height. They are reasonably soft but firm enough to give you 
pretty much the same increase in height throughout a routine. The problem 
with the "T" foam is that you start out inches higher but continue to sink 
lower into the seat during each positive G maneuver. It doesn't resume it's 
previous height until you get off of it. One caution about using the float 
foam, most of it is highly flammable.
