Ken

Mike and Jeff have both beat me to the punch on answering your questions
about air racing. If you are definitely interested, do contact Mike Penketh.
 He is the "man in charge" and can give you all the needed info. The RARA
office can send you a packet with rules, etc., but talk to someone in the
class about racing.

There are several IAC members who race: Mike and Jeff, of course, also Wes
Selvidge from the Delano Chapter as well as Roger Rourke. Our chapter here
in Boise boasts 5 members who both race and compete - Patrick Rediker, Gary
Hubler and Scott Crandlemire in the Formula One Class; Greg Doster formerly
Formula One and now Biplanes and Joe Cenarrusa in Biplanes.

I, myself, am involved in the administrative end of air racing - I assist in
pilot briefing and have been an alternate pilot for a Formula One for the
past two years.

If you have any more questions, do not hesitate to post!
