What a novel idea! An aerobatic airplane as a financial investment. I
wasn't aware the WALL STREET JOURNAL had done any stories on aerobatic
airplanes as financial investments. The last story about airplanes in
this catagory was the one about Warbirds back in the late `80's, and
following that printing, the price of Warbirds doubled. Has there been
such an increase in the cost of aerobatic airplanes during the last couple
of months?
Supply and demand seems to be the determining force in the price of
aerobatic aircraft. A limited number of suppliers providing a limited
number of NEW aircraft each year to a limited number of buyers. The
buyers determine the price. As in real estate, a fair price is whatever a
buyer and seller agree on.
[For the humor impaired, the above is meant tongue-in-cheek. In the
past, I have noticed that some readers have a tendency to take
postings far more seriously than is intended. Eric.]
