Back in the throws of the liability crisis of the early 1980s, EAA directed all its chapters to divest themselves of chapter owned aircraft for fear the International organization would be sued in the event of an accident. To provide the separation, many new flying clubs were created. I suggest you send Sharon Heuer an e-mail note asking her to check with Tommy as to the EAA's current thoughts on this subject. I haven't heard anything differt since Paul's original edict. I'm very interested in the reply, so please post or ask Sharon to post here answer here for all of us. Eric.
