There has been a lot of discussion recently about the financial goals of the
IAC,
how we can improve the judging, and whose interests should be served at
what cost. These are important topics, and much of this discussion has been
informative and interesting. The facts, the history, and the viewpoints
of the people involved have not been fully discussed, and I'd like to get
more information, in as clear and rational a form as possible.
There have also been some bickering and personal attacks. As a
general rule, arguments with a personal tone are better kept between the
individuals involved, and not broadcast to the entire mailing list.
Let's make this mailing list a vehicle for constructive action.
