Further investigation by ourselves and a Russian mechanic with lots of M14P experience has revealed that there was a threaded plug in the pressure carb which was not safety wired and had backed out. The plug was replaced but there was no gas passing through the carburetor, indicating the carb had other problems. The carb was replaced with a new one and the engine seems to be running fine now. Further telephone conversation with a dealer/distributer in the north east reveals he has received two recently manufactured a/c, from the factory, with one or more loose, threaded, carburetor plugs. More information as it becomes available. Bill Bancroft n77tw at aol.com Orange, CA USA
