Hi IAC'ers,

Italian NAC Sporting Commission did not ratify Aerobatic Championship for
Unlimited and Unlimited - 4' Freestyle.
Rules say that championship is to be awarded on several qualification
contests and one final. The latter hasn't been flown because of bad
weather, after having been postponed to wait National Team's pilots to have
their aircraft back after WAC'96, and one contest only (Cuneo, May '96) had
been held because of many cancellations due to organizing Aero Clubs heavy
problems and of the long and difficult OKC deal.
A proposal to assign the title on the only held contest has been rejected.
Unassigned championship poses some problems to National Team selection for
next year's EAC/WAG, since usual criteria say that first 5 pilots in final
championship standings are chosen.
A workaround solution would be probably to use two best results among Cuneo
'96 and first two 1997 contest as discriminating factor.
