Mark, I'd suggest you talk to Al Silver (510 785-7070). He has been in the business an awful long time, and can tell you everything you need to know. You might also want to have a look at his web page (http://www.pia.com/silver/). He also has used chutes (as well as new ones) for sale. I've been more than satisfied with Long Softies, and Wedge Softies. I recently bought an amateur-built Pitts S1S that we rebuilt for a customer a few years ago, and am currently putting a new crank in it as well as accomplishing a few other mods. I have been flying aerobatics for years, but have not yet purchased a parachute (tsk, tsk). This year, I might get into competition, and in order for me to compete in the States, I need a parachute; Also, I don't think it's a bad idea! After purchasing a crank that listed for around $11,000 Cdn, my budget is rather small, but so is my cockpit. I am looking for a used or reasonably priced new chute to fit me and my mount. I am 5' 7" and weigh 125lbs wet. I had a chance to try on a National 360 for size and it seemed to fit pretty well. Any one have any suggestions or leads for me? If anyone out there wears a National, could you let me know how it fits when your moving around in the cockpit (Patty?). Thanks in advance for your help, Mark Stuart & C-GOVA P.S. Does anyone know of an Aresti program for a PC that will help you lay out your sequences NEATLY?? My penmanship isn't the best!!!
