Italian Air Force agreed to support Italian Aerobatic Team in training and logistics. After talks between IAF Chief od Staff, Gen. Mario Arpino, and Team Manager Luca Salvadori, IAF allowed the Team to operate on the Brescia - Montichiari AFB near Milan, Northern Italy. Airport ground is really wide, since it encloses two distinct airports: Brescia - Montichiari, which is partially open to civil traffic, and Ghedi, hosting an MRCA Tornado IDS Strike Group and other European AF aircraft to support Bosnian operations. Team will begin training in the next weeks without worrying about noise and disturbance to densely populated areas as usually happens, and creating a well-equipped, year-long training camp to improve competitiveness and skill. Since Team pilots will be appointed only after first 1997 contests, training camp will be initially open to all prospective members, i.e. all Unlimited pilots competing in 1997 Championship.
