I am in the market for a new (ie, 760 channel) comm radio for my Eagle II, as my old Narco Escort 110 is essentially illegal. I am looking for a comm only (I have a GPS) with a push-to-talk intercom built in as the Escort has. I am thinking that a VOX intercom wouldn't work well because of the high ambient noise level in the cockpit. I am looking at a VAL 360 or a Becker AR-4201, but can't seem to find out if they are PTT or VOX. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience to help me? I am wide open to other brands also.
