Yes there is significant research underway in this subject. The University
of California at Los Angeles, School of Medicine (Labyrinth Research Group)
and our own Lt. Col Richard Williams at Brooke Medical Research , San
Antonio, TX. (Randolph Field).

Labyrinthine hydrops is the cause of Menieres in the opinion of most. Think
of it as glaucoma of the ear. (Excess internal pressure).

It is possible that in some people the heavy negative G puts an increase in
fluid pressure into this system by some as yet not understood one-way valve
system. All speculation. Primate and human research is needed.

Gentamycin can destroy hearing. It is called an ototoxic drug. It must often
be used as it is a superb last resort antibiotic. When used, the physicians
must follow the blood levels very carefully to avoid permanent loss of
hearing in their patients.
