Jim Volunteer Exploitation! Don't put another box out Jim. STOP. I know exactly where you are coming from. Now here is how we could fly IN UNMARKED BOXES. I have been to lots of contests with 3 corners, some with no center X, and several where one entire set of "outs" from one corner judge were thrown out. If the majority in the IAC simply objects to setting out a marked box, fine. Too much trouble, fine. But let us put the corner judges out anyway. One "out" (penalty) for you, will be the same as an out for me, or an out for her...ect., the same exact handicap for everyone. When you can't see the corners/end/center, we won't fly/drive it so far, and you will end up pulling it in tighter. HEY! We don't NEED no stinking markers. We NEED the penalties! Make box marking optional. Hopefully the pilots who want a marked box will show up extra early to mark the box all by themselves. Yeah! Drop box marking as a requirement for the contest altogether. A lot of this is about reducing volunteer workload. Right? Kurt (Exploited Volunteers Anonymous) Kurt O.
