  Re: Looping Maneuvers...You have to cheat/crab in a cross wind to keep your
position in the box and looping maneuvers are often the best places to do
this.  A good rule of thumb is that a judge can usually not see any crab of 5
degrees or less.

Re: Horizontal lines...Anything a judge can see that is off axis or not what
it's supposed to be will be downgraded.  If you're in a strong crosswind, or
any x-wind for that matter, and want to keep your position without hopelessly
drifting across the box, then try introducing a slip.  You can cross control
the ailerons and rudder, with aileron into the wind to keep you from
drifting, and the judges can't readily see it.  Is this making sense!
