In today's mail there was a big envelope from the FAA. Inside was my new, improved aerobatic practice box waiver. Yeeeeeehaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!! As some of you may recall, this has been quite an ordeal. A year ago, I applied for a box at my home airport, was turned down flat, reapplied for a nearby airport, was approved and then six weeks later had it cancelled for no good reason. I've been working on educating the people at the FSDO ever since and it's finally paid off. Along the way I received quite a bit of help and encouragement from people on this list. Thank you, thank you. The new waiver covers a much smaller area than the first one but it's big enough so I'm not complaining. I'm also now required to have a radio equipped ground observer but that's ok too. As luck would have it, both by Yak-55 that's for sale and the new Yak-54 are in Ephrata, WA. But I'll have the 54 back home within ten days. Klein Gilhousen Bozeman, MT Yak-54 N14026
