I have an email from Aviat confirming that there have been NO INSTANCES of any cracks on S2A aircraft, yet this model still continues to be included in the cost-inducing AD process. The lines of communication to the FAA seem rather long from this side of the Atlantic, especially in triplicate, so could someone over there PLEASE try to get Aviat and the Feds to recognize the difference between an S2B and an S2A. Perhaps the factory are being over-cautious to try to avoid some improbable liability litigation, but how would they feel about facing litigation about causing unwarranted expense by requiring unnecessary maintenance actions?
