For those pilots intending to fly in the CAN-AM Aerobatic Championships, Labour Day Weekend in Collingwood, Ontario. Here is information on getting permission to fly your experimental aircraft into Canada. I have also included a copy of Len Rulason's request at the bottom. Use it as a template for your own request if you wish. Anna Wood Assistant Contest Director CAN-AM Aerobatic Championships -------------------------------------------------- Americans Flying Amateur-Builts to Canada For the purpose of the validation of the U.S. Special Airworthiness Certificate Experimental, issued to amateur-built aircraft owners wishing to fly into Canada, Transport Canada requires the following information: 1) A photocopy of the Certificate of Registration 2) A photocopy of the Special Airworthiness Certificate Experimental 3) A photocopy of the Operating Limitations Sheet(s) 4) The period of time for which the validation is required 5) The address, postal or facsimile, to which the validation can be sent 6) The name and telephone number of the person to contact This information should be forwarded to Transport Canada at least four (4) weeks before the scheduled arrival.
