After conclusion of Final for Sportsmen and Unlimited, here are the ultimate
Championship standings.
Sportsmen has been finally won by veteran Guido Giraudo, attempting to the
title since several seasons. Other pilots are newbies, most wishing to climb
into Intermediate next year: as anyone can argue from numbers, flight
quality is good, with most pilots scoring above 70% of total available
points.
Sergio Dallan is getting his 15th National Title in Unlimited, having
mastered the best way the aircraft switch to Sukhoi 31, while his opponents
improve year over year.
Finally, this has been a good season for Italian aerobatics, with aircraft
fleet increasing and improving and several new pilots coming in.
Even if many difficulties still affect aviation, and particularly
Aerobatics, in Italy, it seems that new forces are driving pilots toward
their goals: hopefully this will lead to a stronger presence and better
results of Italy in the International arena.
