One of the downsides of electronic communication is that information can go
out before all the facts are known. An earlier message by one of our
Chapter members correctly stated that one of this sport's brightest lights,
Ken Hadden, died today in a crash. Unfortunately, that same message was
hastily posted without checking the facts. The aircraft involved was an
Extra 200, not a Pitts, and the circumstances leading up to the crash ARE
NOT KNOWN at this time. The crash will be investigated by both the NTSB and
the IAC Safety Committee and when the FACTS are known, they will be
disseminated.
