I worked with Ken when certifying the 3-way composite prop that was on his
Pitts. He gave me my first aerobatic ride, one I still talk about (inverted,
full bore, 50 ft over a grass strip in Ohio, what a way to start!). I cried
my eyes out all day Wednesday. Ken was the only person in aerobatics I've
met who saw my potential, and was there to encourage it always. He and Barb,
always trying to find me a wife, what dear friends. I can' t find words to
express the loss I feel and I know everyone who knew Ken feels. We have
truly lost one of the bright lights of the aerobatic community. Looking up
at the sky last night, I had to stop and say a prayer for Ken, and hope I'll
see him again someday. I can't make it to Ohio on Sunday, but my heart will
be there with those of you who are. I'm so sorry Barb, we miss him so much.
