The seneca army depot....7000 ..200 ft runway, excellent ramp space, office buildings,The army wants to get rid of it..it has been closed for the last several years located in beautyful upstate new york..about 25 miles north of ithaca ny [home of cornell university] The county is going to take it over and are looking for a tenent or someone to purchase at one dollar! They want some activity that might help the local economy and a group that can maintain the facility.[grass cutting ect...] A group of us have meet with the town fathers an proposed a aerobatic traing center. The airport is surrounded by 475 acres of airport property and around that is about a 1500 track of old Nuclear bunkers...noise would not be a problem here.. Any thoughts on if this would fly and be supported by the aerobatic community. Dom Trivisonno
