Hi, I have a Christen Eagle and recently replaced a Gel-cell battery with a "gas recombient" one from Concorde. The model was RG-25XC. It had the same external size but is about 1 kg heavier. The engine cranks about twice the speed as the gel type did when new. Manufacturers of light weight starters, Sky-Tec and others, recommend not to use gel-cells.
